Using low-resolution digital samplers, generative patches and multitrack cassette loops, Diego Ferri creates highly imaginative soundscapes where slowly evolving drones, minimal rhythmic cells and sparse melodic patterns interact in a way that recalls Kosmische Musik and modernist composers. His interpretations of Erik Satie's music have been featured in the BBC1 TV show Casualty.
He'll be part of Famous Grapes Sessions 01 @ ACUD MACHT NEU on June 20th. In the meantime discover "The Grifasi tape", a collection of tape experiments, synth patches and one Chopin guitar arrangement which have been recorded in 2017 between studio sessions and during a hospital stay in November.
